The above video is not a time lapse, there was no special effects used. What you are seeing is a car look a like robot transforming from a car into an upright standing robot. It not only stands upright and not fall down, it can even move around and box its arms.

The robot was designed and build by Kenji Ishida and JS Robotics. This is already version 8 of the robot. Maybe a few more versions and it will look completely like a real car and can dance and have weapons equipped. Hopefully.

Remember the wooden rocking horse you or kids used to ride? The rocking horse design of old has been “modernized”. They are now made of plastic and can be molded to almost any kind of variation. This one looks like a cross between a cowboy horse and medieval horse carrying a knight.

Designed by Marc Newson for a company called Magis, the design is called Rocky. A common name for a unique design.

Availability and price is not available yet.
